Daily Arrival & Dismissal Procedures

• McClure Traffic Plan (Arrival/Dismissal Maps and Information)

• The north car drop-off door opens at 7:15am. Students arriving between 7:15am-7:30am will wait in the north hallway until 7:30.

• Students arriving between 7:30am-8:00am will report to their grade-level hallway and read quietly until 7:50 when students enter classrooms. If eating breakfast, students go directly to the cafeteria when they arrive at school.

• School begins promptly at 8:00am. If your child is not in their classroom at 8:00am, they are considered tardy.

• Students arriving after 8:00am should be accompanied by a parent to the office to be signed in for the day.

• Dismissal begins at 3:10pm. Parents will be asked to select a primary dismissal method at the beginning of the year. To make a change or request additional dismissal tags email mcclureoffice@mckinneyisd.net

• If you need to make a one-time change in the way your student gets home complete the One Day Dismissal Change Form here, prior to 2:30 pm on the day of the change. Teachers check this form daily for any dismissal changes. This form replaces emailing the teacher and the McClure Office.

Lunch Visitors:

We welcome lunch visitors in our cafeteria and ask that you and your child eat lunch at the guest table and enjoy your time together. Thank you for understanding that only your child may dine at the guest table, no classmates may join guests. Visitors are welcome to bring food to eat together or buy food from the cafeteria.

Please note that ONLY approved visitors will be allowed to enter the cafeteria. A student's parent/guardian is responsible for keeping the district informed of who is allowed to see/pick up a student. Even if a visitor is a relative, godparent, etc. they will will not be given access to a student unless they appear on the student enrollment form.

Specials Rotation Schedule by Class

Specials are Art, Music, and PE. Students should wear tennis shoes on PE days.

First: 10:10 – 11:00
Second: 9:15 – 10:05
Third: 1:15 – 2:05
Fourth: 2:10 – 3:00
Fifth: 8:20 – 9:10
