McKinney Gifted and Talented Alliance
McKinney ISD is fortunate to have a dedicated, enthusiastic parents’ advocacy group for gifted and talented students! The combined efforts of the McKinney Gifted and Talented Alliance (formally ALPS) and the McKinney ISD staff are helping the ALPHA program continue to move forward to meet the needs of these students.
The mission of the McKinney Gifted and Talented Alliance is to support the MISD gifted and talented program; to provide a chain of communication between the McKinney Gifted and Talented Alliance, the community, the schools, and the Board of Education; and to create expanded opportunities for gifted students in MISD.

McKinney Gifted and Talented Alliance Programs
Mission Statement: The mission of the McKinney Gifted and Talented Alliance is to support the MISD gifted and talented program; to provide a chain of communication between the McKinney Gifted and Talented Alliance, the community, the schools, and the Board of Education; and to create expanded opportunities for gifted students in MISD.
All parents of ALPHA students will be notified of the meeting dates and times via e-mail, campus newsletters, and fliers.
Informational programs are scheduled throughout the school year so that all parents can be better informed about the needs of gifted and talented children, parenting these children, and about the ALPHA program at the different levels within MISD.
