Stephanie O'Dell serves on the McKinney ISD Board of Trustees, and in this interview she discusses her own educational and career experiences, her family and her appreciation for this school district.

Stephanie O’Dell has been actively involved in McKinney schools since 2005. Serving with PTO and PTA in various roles has given her the opportunity to develop relationships with teachers and principals.

She serves as a mentor to high school and elementary students in MISD through the REACH program.  She enjoys volunteering and being active in her church.

O’Dell graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, and she worked in sales for eight years. She and her husband have two daughters who attended McKinney schools. One is a graduate of Texas A&M, and the other graduated from Boston University.

Serving as a trustee, O’Dell has the opportunity to visit campuses and see the students in action. As McKinney grows, she seeks to pursue excellence for MISD.
