McKinney, Texas—The clouds had Laura Ort seriously worried, but they did not deter the Scott Johnson Middle School science teacher from trying to provide her astronomy club with the best total solar eclipse experience possible.
Ort set up her telescope with special filters, provided by a generous grant from the McKinney Education Foundation, and the sky-gazing gang hoped for the best. They were not disappointed!
