McKinney, Texas — Visual Arts Scholastic Event, also known as VASE, is an annual state-wide event that high school art students participate in to showcase their artistic talents and communication skills.
“The best part is them getting to voice their reason behind their art and their why,” stated McKinney North art teacher, Angelica Kelley.
While high school students participate in state VASE, middle school students have the opportunity to participate in Junior VASE, which is a district-wide version of the competition.
McKinney North VASE participant, Keyla Rangel, will advance to the state competition to be held on April 17.
