I hope this email finds you well. We wanted to inform you of an important update regarding our Elementary Gifted and Talented (GT) program.
After careful consideration and planning, the district has made the decision to move the Elementary GT program to a new campus for the 2024-2025 school year. The program is currently housed at Webb Elementary and will be moving to Walker Elementary. This move was necessary due to the growth Webb Elementary is experiencing. Walker Elementary currently has the space and open classrooms available to house the Elementary GT program. There are many benefits that come with this move to Walker Elementary including a more centrally located campus, larger classrooms, and the ability to accommodate a growing population of GT students.
Please note that there are no changes to the GT program, curriculum, teachers, or transportation. The only change is the location of the program.
Our GT teachers are looking forward to working and collaborating with the Walker staff.
