McKinney, Texas — MHS Marine Corps JROTC Cadet 1st Lt Jaxon Young on Thursday, March 27, was presented with a full National ROTC Scholarship that he will put to use at Texas A&M University this fall. After college, Jaxon will enter service as an officer in the United States Marine Corps, joining a proud heritage of Aggies who have served in the Marines.
Jaxon was joined onstage for a photo by MHS Cadet Captain Paul Bachman and Cadet Sergeant Major Rafael Aviles who were each awarded full National ROTC Scholarships in the fall. Bachman and Aviles will also enter the Marine Corps as officers after college.
