This week our kindergarteners celebrated the end of their geometry unit. Students have been learning about polygons and 2d shapes. To end the unit, students were able to come together to decorate gingerbread houses. Thanks to the help of many parent volunteers, students each had their own house. They shared icing and had a variety of "decorations" to choose from.
The students let their creativity flow. Many used pretzels to create roof tiles and fences. Others used Hershey chocolates to create walkways or doors and there were many seen with peppermint windows.
After the event, students were able to take home their houses.
Thank you to all of the volunteers to help with this event!
