Today we have just about finished training all of our 1st-5th students on Lego Spike. These are part of the new district STEAM curriculum. Students have learned how to organize the materials, connect the hubs to Bluetooth, and code motors and lights bricks. Students were taught the value of the kits and how to respect the materials as tools so that the whole campus can enjoy them for a long time. This week we worked with 1st and 2nd grade our youngest coders. 2nd grade learned about the motors and lights, light sensors and more advanced coding. 1st grade learned how to code and change colors in the light block to prepare for their science projects this week.
