This has been a busy week in the BBLC. The Literati book fair arrived on campus on Wednesday and students started previewing books on Thursday. Every class came through Thursday and Friday to preview books and make wish lists. Their excitement and curiosity about trying new books was infectious!
We hosted a surprise pop-up shopping event Friday afternoon but will officially open on Monday morning at 7:30am. Most classes have elected to have students visit the book fair during their free time during the week when they bring money or have a gift card (a.k.a. ewallet.) Please check with your child's teacher.
It's a busy time in the classroom as teachers are working hard to review for STAAR. We are so glad to be able to provide new books to students to enjoy after their testing. Remember to check out the Bear Business for details about the book fair or shop online here.
At the same time, the learning commons is still open for checkout. We celebrated some final winners for our Read Across America challenge and another lucky clover was found! The Bennett preschool teachers visited and explored their newly created Preschool section. Mrs. Brubaker visited their students on Friday for a silly story time.
