Principal's Message
We have had a full three days…kicked off football season against Highland Park including volleyball games, and our September fire drill. Progress reports are now posted in HAC. We begin MAP testing next week. School is officially in full swing.
On Monday, students will receive their student ID badges. Today in ELAR, our students reviewed expectations for ID badges. As a reminder, students will need their ID badges to enter our building every day. They will also be required to wear them during the school day when out of class for the restroom, library or a nurse visit. 6th graders will be allowed 2 replacement/temp badges, and our 7th and 8th graders will be given 1 replacement/temp badge free of charge. Any badge after that will be charged a $5 replacement fee. This fee will be applied to your MySchoolBucks account. All extra-curricular activities will require a student ID badge starting on Monday. This includes all events at the MISD stadium. If you have any questions, please reach out to me directly at mmachost@mckinneyisd.net. We know this is a new protocol and we will work with our students to ensure their understanding of expectations.
