Principal's Message
Wow, what a busy week! We had a band concert, orchestra concert, choir concert, CTE tours for our 8th graders, and basketball games. We kicked off our holiday happiness with Name that Tune call-in during PAWS. Next week, Frozen, the Musical, opens, so be sure to come support our theatre students (see information below for details).
We will be MAP testing next week. Our plan will look different than in the past in the hopes of completing the test in a more timely manner. On Tuesday, Dec. 10, our students will be taking Math in the morning, and Science in the afternoon. Most students will test through their 4th period teacher. We have a great plan for students to take a break in between tests to refresh their minds. On Thursday, Dec. 12th, our students will take the Reading MAP test. Again, mostly through their 4th period teacher. We have made arrangements to move students around so that everyone tests in a classroom and not in PE. If your child has the accommodation of having questions read to them, please be sure to remind them to bring their earbuds that can plug into a computer, Bluetooth headphones will not work. Also, super important, be sure that your child’s laptop does not die over the weekend. Our tech department cannot fix laptops in time for testing on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, during our staff holiday celebration, each staff member received a stocking to hang in their classroom or office. I hope that you will help me fill their stockings over the next two weeks with love and gifts of appreciation.
