Student ID Badges
McKinney ISD requires all middle and high school students to possess a school issued ID badge while on any District property or attending District events. ID badge checks will occur each morning as students enter the building and randomly throughout the school day. Any student who forgot to bring their ID badge will be required to purchase a replacement badge at the beginning of the school day. Badges will be issued by the campus in the first few weeks of school.
Students must present their school issued badge for after school activities including but not limited to athletic or fine arts events and activities.
Security Detection System
McKinney ISD will utilize the Evolv security detection systems at all MISD High School campuses and MISD Stadium. The Evolv System is a walk-through device that scans for illegal items.
Storage of Firearms
Texas law now requires school districts to distribute information to parents and guardians about the safe storage of firearms.
