The first Good Morning Slaughter (GMS), of the school year was last Friday, August 30. Each grade level performed their unique cheer, and each teacher announced their class's first Alpha Wolf of the year. Students can be selected as the class Alpha Wolf by following the Wolf Pack Way: mutual respect, attentive listening, appreciations, no put-downs, and never give up. These are schoolwide values that are practiced and celebrated throughout the year.
GMS is a long held Slaughter tradition that goes back many decades. GMS will happen every Friday morning of a full week. If there is a short week due to a school holiday, GMS will not take place that week. GMS starts at 7:55AM, so be sure students are not late on Friday mornings, because they won't to miss the fun!
