Slaughter Elementary

On Friday, November 8th, Slaughter Elementary hosted their annual Veterans Assembly. All Slaughter Wolfpack students, guardians, and veterans were invited to attend. Mr. DeFelice and Mrs. Bice emceed the assembly. Longtime Slaughter parent volunteer, Heather McEnroe, and her daughter and former Slaughter student, taught a current Slaughter student how to carry the flags for the pledges. The Slaughter 4th and 5th grade choir, Slaughter Awesome Singers, sang the national anthem. Slaughter's 5th grade and 1st grade Kindness and Compassion Club members read student letters of gratitude for veterans. The front hallways of Slaughter were lined with student letters and artwork. Veterans and their families were treated to refreshments in the Wolfden.
