All Slaughter families are invited to Open House on Tuesday, April 1st between 4:30-5:30PM. Stop by your child's classroom to see their hard work and shop the book fair in the library.
Slaughter will be participating in the HEB recycling bag challenge from March 3rd-April 4th. Students can bring clean plastic bags to their teacher during the collection window. We are competing with other local schools for a chance to win a prize! Thank you for your help.

Our PTO is throwing a Family Glow Party at the park! Mark your calendars for Friday, March 7, 7-8PM. This is a free event for all Wolfpack families.

TELPAS testing at Slaughter Elementary will be next Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 24 and 25. TELPAS is a test for all English Language Learners, including bilingual and ESL students. We want to make sure all of our students are at school on time, and we ask that visitors choose other days to come to lunch. Thank you!

Yesterday was Security Guard Appreciation Day! We celebrated Officer Day all day long. He joined us on our morning announcements broadcast for an interview and was treated to some of his favorite things throughout the day. We appreciate you, Officer Day!
Today, we kicked off our Big Kahuna fundraiser! All students will bring home a packet with information. Sign and return the permission slip to get your first kit of cookies and candy to sell for only $2 each. Thank you for supporting our school by helping with this fundraiser.
Yesterday, the Slaughter students and staff celebrated Mr. D for his birthday. We had a special lunch, student artwork, teacher pranks, and lots of laughs. Here's to another great year ahead of you, Mr. D.
