Exciting news from the PTO! The PTO is hosting the Tip Top Holiday Shop this week! All students and staff will have a chance to shop for holiday gifts for family and friends right here at school. There will be lots of fun and affordable items to choose from. The holiday store is set up in the STEAM lab and will be open during the lunch times, 10:15AM to 12:30PM. The 3 MISD high school student councils are teaming up for MacTown Miracles, a canned food drive to feed families for the holidays. This year, Slaughter is collecting canned green beans. Students can bring donations to the collection box in the Wolfden until Dec. 13th.

This coming Friday morning, we will host our annual Veterans Day Assembly to honor all Wolfpack family and friends who have served in our nation's military. Students in scouts or other uniformed group are invited to join the color guard for the assembly. #itsaslaughterthing

Red Ribbon Week is next week! Red Ribbon Week is the nation's largest and longest-running drug-use prevention campaign. All students are invited to dress up each day of Red Ribbon Week to show your support and commitment to keep their bodies and minds healthy and drug-free!



Mark your calendars for Slaughter's Night at the Stadium, Nov. 1. Gates open at 6PM. Students get in free with a Slaughter shirt. Students will meet the Slaughter staff at section 109 by 6:30PM to go onto the field for a picture. Join the PTO before the game in the parking lot.



Oct. 20-26, 2024 is Read Aloud to a Child Week! This is a national, annual event that emphasizes the importance of reading aloud to children and encourages families to read together. Choose a book and read it with your child for 15 minutes each day. https://readtothem.org/racw/


All students are invited to participate in the annual Storybook Character Pumpkin Decorating Contest! Pumpkins are due at 8AM, Oct. 29. Do NOT carve pumpkins and do NOT bring pumpkins before Oct. 28. Our staff will vote for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners for each grade level.


This week is Digital Citizenship Week! Students are learning about being safe, respectful, and responsible online.
